fits Up to 2005 Softail, Dyna, V-Rod, up to 2004 FLT/Touring, up to 2006 XL
500cc. High performance purple colored silicone-based brake and clutch fluid designed to lubricate and protect critical brake system componentry while providing reliable stopping power. Anti-vapor lock formulation maintains responsiveness and performance by fighting vaporization and viscosity loss. Advanced chemistry resists corrosion, oxidation and is compatible with SBR, EPDM and natural rubbers. Offers a very high dry boiling point, is non-aggressive and safe for paint, plastics surfaces, clothing and such. Note that DOT 5 silicone is not hygroscopic so will not absorb water like regular brake fluids do. Therefore the brake system must be drained 100% to prevent any water-pockets remaining anywhere in the system which may cause vapor-lock and total brake failure. DOT 5 silicone is not very foam resistant and therefore not compatible with ABS or ASR/TCS systems. DOT 5 silicone cannot be mixed with other brake fluids. Exceeds the requirements of US FMVSS 116 DOT 5 specification. Note: For use in all hydraulic clutch systems and all brake systems specifying DOT 5 silicone brake fluids. Do not use in brake systems that specify DOT 3, DOT 4 or DOT 5.1 fluids. Do not mix with DOT 3, DOT 4 or DOT 5.1 fluids.
