Kit that includes both 962021 dipstick socket tool (for earlier hex cap design) and 939483 dipstick socket insert (for later ‘finger grasp’ design dipsticks). JIMS 962021 is a dipstick socket tool, used to remove the OEM socket style cap (06-12) dipstick with a wrench. Later models (12-up) come with knurled round ‘finger grasp’ design dipsticks. These can be hard to remove, for this late model dipstick a hand-operated 939483 dipstick tool is available. Still, when the dipstick is stuck or when it needs to be removed on a hot engine, you can use the 962021 (early) dipstick socket on top of the 939483 (late) ‘finger grasp’ dipstick tool, again allowing you to use its 7/8″ socket or 3/8″ drive connection to remove the late model ‘finger grasp’ dipstick models with ease and without burning your hands.
