The stock H-D compensator ramp / sliding cam system for the motor sprocket has been a shock absorbing system that is used on H-D models in various configurations for over half a century. It dampens the shocks between the engine sprocket shaft end the primary chain that drives the clutch/transmission. Tough work for sure and for the M8 the first thing to fail on the sprocket shaft. The S&S compensator ramp is a direct replacement Heavy Duty upgrade for the standard ramp and offers more reliability over more kilometers / miles. Advised for all M8 engines from stock to any performance upgrade. – Direct replacement for M8 model bikes – CNC machined 9000 series steel – Heat treated and coated for superior strength and corrosion resistance – Much stronger than stock – The OEM compensator ramp is part of OEM 40100076 engine sprocket compensator kit – Made in the USA

Black anodized. CNC machined 6061 billet aluminum. These tappet covers are approx. 1/2″ (12.7mm) lower then stock. Must be used with longer Twin Cam style pushrod covers but it will give you much better acces to the pushrods for adjusting. The low profile also takes away the bulky look of the stock tappet covers. Complete with gaskets and screws. Note: Requires Twin Cam style pushrod covers.

Upgraded replacement for the OEM rocker shafts. With a 66% strength increase when compared to the OEM shafts for better reliability, especially in high lift/stress applications like exist with high-lift cams. Bearing quality steel and precision centerless ground. OEM replacement reference 17300053 (front exh, rear int), 17300055 (front int, rear exh) and 17300059B (set). Note: S&S advices to install these rocker arm shafts in combination with MCS 588917 rocker arm tower stud & nut kit.
