Manufactured from blue anodized 6061 aluminum. A direct upgrade replacement for the stock breather assembly. Inside you will find the proprietary Labyrinth design to significantly reduces oil pass-through, keeping your engine running cleaner and smoother while burning less oil. The S&S dual O-ring design offers a superior seal, minimizes leaks and maximizes performance. Compatible with all stock components but requires free-breathing air filter & exhaust mufflers. With each cam change S&S recommends their 583903 Precision tappet assembly set. This kit includes cam, all required bearings, O-rings and hardware. Gear drive cams provide improved valve timing accuracy but more mechanical sound, when compared to chain driven cams. The additional mechanical sound is the reason why OEM runs chain driven cams. Note: For best performance it is, like with all performance cams, recommended to use a free breathing air cleaner and exhaust system. Pinion race is undersized to allow service and re machining of pinion shaft when prior damage occurred such as race spinning on shaft.
