.060″ thick AFM (Aluminum Foamet Material). Gasket for the OEM 60514-65 starter hole cover plate (block-off plate) used on the inner primary cover when a starter motor is not installed. OEM replacement reference 60518-65. Cometic’s AFM gaskets have an aluminum core with a chemically blown, compounded nitrile synthetic thin foam-like rubber layer bonded to both sides. Temperature resistant to over 250°F (122°C). AFM rubber has a 85% recovery while maintaining strong torque retention. Re-torqueing, gasket sealers or silicone beads are not required.

.020″ thick RCM (Rubber Coated Metal). Gasket for the OEM 60514-65 starter hole cover plate (block-off plate) used on the inner primary cover when a starter motor is not installed. OEM replacement reference 60518-65. James’ RCM gaskets consists of a .020″ thick stainless spring steel base covered with a .001″ thick heat resistant Viton rubber on both sides. A very strong gasket which requires no re-torquing. Gaskets will not become brittle or burn out.
