The stock H-D compensator ramp / sliding cam system for the motor sprocket has been a shock absorbing system that is used on H-D models in various configurations for over half a century. It dampens the shocks between the engine sprocket shaft end the primary chain that drives the clutch/transmission. Tough work for sure and for the M8 the first thing to fail on the sprocket shaft. The S&S compensator ramp is a direct replacement Heavy Duty upgrade for the standard ramp and offers more reliability over more kilometers / miles. Advised for all M8 engines from stock to any performance upgrade. – Direct replacement for M8 model bikes – CNC machined 9000 series steel – Heat treated and coated for superior strength and corrosion resistance – Much stronger than stock – The OEM compensator ramp is part of OEM 40100076 engine sprocket compensator kit – Made in the USA

Black anodized CNC machined 6061 billet aluminum. Designed for easy adjusting of adjustable pushrods. The tappet covers are approx. 1/2″ (12.7mm) lower than stock, allowing much better access to the pushrods. The required longer length pushrod covers are included. The low tappet cover profile also takes away the bulky look of the stock covers. Complete with all required gaskets, o-rings and a new screw set for installation.

Overdrive pulley. 6% less rpm for models with standard 32T pulley. Used to reduce RPM at highway speeds, especially for lighter/stronger bikes. Not recommended for hauling side cars or on heavily loaded Dressers.
